![]() ![]() There he fought an intense battle with the Brother of Rama, Lakshamana, who after throwing many Astras and Shastras can't even scratch Atikaya's armor, finally Lakshamana invokes the Brahmastra and ultimately killing Atikaya as the Armor can only be pierced by a weapon made by Brahma, while Atikaya didn't achieve Victory, he was truly happy to serve his father and kingdom till the very end, and was happy that he died in a battle like a true warrior. Then came the war between Rama and Ravana many years later, Atikaya enters the battlefield after the fall of Kumbhakarna, his enraged father was going to participate but Atikaya stopped him and told him that he should be the one who will fight the Vanaras and assure Lanka it's Victory over Rama. Atikaya folded his hands in a humble manner after catching the Trident pleasing Shiva, who in return allows Atikaya to keep the Trident as he withdrew his army from Kaliash and returns to Lanka. A feat that has never been done by anyone, not even Gods. Only for Atikaya to catch it midair with his bare hand. Shiva from atop of Mount Kailash was angered by Atikaya's presence, the Great God hurled his weapon of mass destruction the Mighty Trident Trishula at Atikaya. Following that he gave Atikaya three blessings – the brahmastra which could annihilate anyone, an Armor which nothing could pierce, and the absence of thirst and desire.ĭuring one of Ravana's conquest, Atikaya was ordered to conquer the Regions of Tibet. Brahma used his power to force air into Atikaya, and rejuvenate him. Brahma appeared, but Atikaya was so lost in meditation that he didn’t realise Brahma’s presence. Ravana named him Atikaya and placed him under the care of Dhanyamalini, in Lanka.Ītikaya began praying to Brahma in Gokarna. Finally Ravana was able to get the baby into the Pushpaka Vimana. Ravana used twenty hands and the baby grew further. Ravana tried to lift the baby but couldn’t do so in spite of using ten of his hands. When Ravana searched for the child, he found that it had landed on a rock, but remained unhurt. But the vehicle struck Girishringa and the child was thrown into the jungle. Ravana placed the child in the Pushpaka Vimana and resumed his journey. She left the child with Ravana and returned to the heavens. Ravana managed to seduce her and have a child with her. Their leader was Chitrangi, wife of Chitrangada. When Ravana was returning in the Pushpaka Vimana after defeating Kubera, he saw a few gandharva women in the foothills of Mayuragiri.
